This is a space where we can post our ideas for the joint presentation we will be giving at iSummit 2007 on virtual tools for global collaboration.

At this point, here are just a few of the ideas we have discussed (below). I will add more as we continue. I will place a point person in appropriate areas...what Apple terms a DRI (directly responsible individual) for that area. Please add your name where you want...and add more topics! Also, add outlined details of the part of the preso you will be doing (and estimated time needed for that part).

I. Coalition Website Tools

     A. Wiki - Joe Morris and Joshua Brewer

II. Listserv Possibilities - Joe Morris and Joshua Brewer

III. Ning
A. Teachers 2.0, Classroom 2.0, Global Collaboration Ning, etc.
B. Create a Lighthouse School Ning? Public or Private? Once you create it you can’t change it.

NOTE from Julene: I created a laptop learning ning with an iSummit group and a Lighthouse Schools group. The laptop ning is public, but the groups are private. See if that works or if we should have a separate group.
http://laptoplearning.ning.com
I plan to share this in the preso.

     C. Use Facebook?

IV. Social Bookmarking (del.icio.us, digg, etc.)
A. Create Accounts for Lighthouse Schools - Done http://www.del.icio.us/lighthouseschools - people can add it to their network and also post links for:lighthouseschools

V. Blogging
A. Blogging services that allow adequate controls (i.e., Blogmeister)
B. Create Accounts for Lighthouse Schools

VI. Other Wiki Tools
A. Alternate Wiki services that allow adequate controls (WikiSpaces, GoogleDocs, Writely)
B. Create Accounts for Lighthouse Schools

VII. Teacher Tube, KarmaTube, and social networking website possibilities (food for thought for attendees)

VIII. Global Education Resources Currently Available - Julene Reed (list from our NECC workshop)

IX. Others? Anyone? Anyone? ;-)
